Mac OS X Leopard, Activity Monitor Fails To Launch After Leopard Upgrade
One of the most common complaints, one which we ourselves have endured until recently, is the failing of Activity Monitor after a Mac OS X Tiger to Leopard upgrade.
Nothing happens. You click the Activity Monitor icon and an error message is displayed prompting a re-launch or the option to report the error to Apple.
Here’s a simple fix.
- Go to the Apple Developer’s member web site
- If you’re not already a member then create a membership account
- If you’re already a member, login
- Select the Downloads link
- From the Downloads option select the Developer’s Tools downloads
- Download the CHUD tools 4.5.0 (Diagram 1.0)
- Install CHUD tools 4.5.0 on your Mac
- Restart your Mac
Activity Monitor should be back and working again after the installation.
