Mac OS X Tiger, Finder Background Colour Bug On Intel Macs

A little known, or reported bug has surfaced with the introduction of Intel Macs. Until now, MacRiot is unable to confirm whether this is an official bug but some MacIntel users have reported the inability for Mac OS X Tiger to remember the background colours set for particular Finder windows.

Background colours can be set using the “Show View Options” function within the Finder View menubar options.

The bug in Mac OS X Tiger basically leaves the user with the annoying changing of the preset background colours whenever s/he exits the particular Finder window and returns to it again. So far, this bug has only been reported to occur on MacIntels. PPC Macs have been spared and Apple has been unavailable for comment.

In 1978, founders Matt and Hendricks were looking for a tech event to showcase their new startup. When they couldn’t find one that checked all the boxes they decided to host their own. As they were organizing things, they soon realized they needed somewhere to promote the conference, and that’s how newsweb.com was launched. It later became a blog and the result is what you are looking at right now.
