MacBook Screen Failures Reported

Despite our hopes for renewed faith in the MacBook line-up, build quality issues still seem to persist in the refreshed Intel Core 2 Duo MacBooks.

Reports on screen flickering and total screen failure, where no backlight is present, range in the higher percentile of common hardware failures. These failures are reported to be present out of the box or showing up within several weeks of use.

MacBook buyers are still strongly advised to support their investment with AppleCare’s extended warrranty and prepare of potential visits to your local Apple Service Provider (ASP).

On the other hand, hardware failures are markedly less on the MacBook Pro range.
