Minor Speed Bump For MacBook Line

Apple recently upgraded their MacBook line to feature a refreshed range of faster Intel Core 2 Duo processor-based MacBooks. Ranging from 2.0GHz to 2.16GHz. The Cupertino computer maker has also up the ante, with the inclusion of larger capacity hard drives in their new line-up, 80GB, 120GB and 160GB, respectively.

The best bit? Well, its all relative I suppose. If you’ve just purchased a MacBook prior to the upgrade, then its not good news. Otherwise, the upgraded range, comes in at the same price as the previous. Hardly, surprising, since Apple has maintained this marketing feature over the years.

Although, the MacBook seems more enticing than ever, potential MacBook buyers are nonetheless, advised to hold onto their money. Here at MacRiot, we believe this minor speed bump is a move to add hype to the current MacBook range in an effort to clear the product line leading to Apple’s WWDC 2007 conference (11 – 15 June 2007), where its more than likely a refreshed MacBook range will be announced. Featuring a fully upgraded Intel graphics processor and renewed Intel Core 2 Duo processor architecture, that’s both more energy efficient, whilst at the same time, adding better graphics ability to Apple’s entry-level portable.
