Titanium Software, OnyX 1.6.6

Thanks to Titanium Software, now you can easily carry out maintenance, optimisation, and personalization on Mac OS X. Commands that otherwise, must be carried out using UNIX command line executions are now accessible through the OnyX GUI interface.

It also makes it possible to configure certain hidden parameters of the Finder, Dock, and Safari, to remove a certain number of files and folders that may become cumbersome, preview the different logs and CrashReporter reports, and more.

At press time, OnyX is freeware and works as advertised. A definite contender for replacing Maintain’s Cocktail as the de facto interface for Mac OS X maintenance, optimisation and personalisation.

In 1978, founders Matt and Hendricks were looking for a tech event to showcase their new startup. When they couldn’t find one that checked all the boxes they decided to host their own. As they were organizing things, they soon realized they needed somewhere to promote the conference, and that’s how newsweb.com was launched. It later became a blog and the result is what you are looking at right now.
