Most users are not aware that Mac OS X comes built in with a screen capture tool that captures screens and windows into pdf format files with a strike of the keyboard.
The following are the only shortcuts you need to remember(extremely useful if you’re grabbing information for an assignment):
Shift + Cmd + 4 | captures an area specified by user |
Shift + Cmd + 4 + Spacebar | Spacebar toggles between capturing a specified area to capturing the contents of a selected window |
Shift + Cmd + 3 | captures the content of an active window |
All captured images are saved into your desktop. If you need the screen capture in any other format other than pdf then a photo editing application is necessary to convert the images.
