Users of Mac desktops and notebooks have been complaining about this bug since the launch of macOS 10.15 Catalina and now it appears with the latest update to 10.15.3, this bug has resurfaced with greater frequency.
Macs literally fall into a coma after going to Sleep and refuse to wake or wake into an unresponsive state with only the mouse cursor continuing to be responsive whilst everything else appears hung.
For now the only fix is to force power down the Mac by holding the Power button and restart it. AppleCare apparently has advised some users to shut down their Macs instead of allowing it to Sleep if its left unused for prolonged periods. No fix seems close at the moment.
